IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ms. JOAN EFETI MISODI EWANGA
STUDENT #1029, CLASS OF 1979
Sunset: Saturday, April 13 2024
Her class of 1979 classmates were right in the middle of their 2024 Annual Meeting at the BUEA MOUNTAIN HOTEL came in this past Friday, April 13th 2024, that their Sister, JOAN EFETI MISODI EWANGA who had been with them for not just for their 2023 AGM but at practically every event organized by the class (see pictures below), had finally lost her battle with cancer.

They had prayed for her!
They had assisted her financially!
They had visited her when she was at the Cameroon Oncolgy Center in Bekoko prior to her being transferred to the BUEA Regional Hospital where she "chose" to breathe her last, at the exact time as they happened to be already gathered in BUEA.

I do not dare purport to be able to read GOD's mind, but I am willing to hazard a guess that her dedication to her class group and their love for her is what got HIM to grant them the PRIVILEGE of being able to see her just moments after her passing, pray over her mortal remains and SING her off to the LIMBE mortuary.

YES, they did instantly suspend their meeting at the Buea Mountain Hotel and make their way, wailing as they went, to the nearby hospital.

The Videos of them (which I will certainly NOT post) which have them sobbing so painfully around her hospital bed, but also PRAYING and SINGING, are beyond MOVING!

It is a very SAD state of affairs, no doubt, BUT there is so much that is also POSITIVE and EXEMPLARY about this "story".

It is such a BEAUTIFUL expression of what SISTERHOOD ought to be.
GENUINE, MEANINGFUL, COMPASSIONATE, SISTERHOOD, as in "being there" when it really does matter!

WELL DONE, CLASS OF 79 SISTERS!
YOU DID RIGHT BY YOUR SISTER.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR IT,
MAY GOD REST HER SOUL, and
MAY HE COMFORT HER FAMILY & ALL WHO MOURN HER LOSS!

Adieu, Sis Joan!
This "FOX" who first met your "Mami Nyanga" self when she was in FORM 1 and you in FORM 3 will always have fond and pleasant memories of you.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ms. SHASHA NDIMBIE
STUDENT #669, CLASS OF 1975
Sunset: Sunday, April 21st 2024
It is with shock and profound sadness that we learned yesterday morning - most of us via WhatsApp, that VETERAN CRTV JOURNALIST/NEWS ANCHOR, Ms. SHASHA NDIMBIE, had passed away early that same Sunday, April 21st 2024.

The COMMUNIQUE read as follows:

"The NDIMBIE Family is sad to announce the passing of their beloved SHASHA NDIMBIE on April 21, 2024 in YAOUNDE.
Shasha did her secondary education at Saker Baptist College in Limbe, Cameroon and earned a Bachelor's Degree at St. Mary College in Leavenworth, KS. She continued her studies and earned a Master's Degree in Communication at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ.

Upon returning to Cameroon, she was recruited by Cameroon Radio and Television (CRTV) as a News Anchor, where she served until she retired from broadcasting.

She is survived by her Daughter, AMANDA JOHNSON; Granddaughter, ADAEZE; Sisters STELLA BROH, JOYCE and TRINITY NDIMBIE and Brothers OLIVER, JULIUS and ZUZUKO NDIMBIE, as well as five nephews and nieces and dozens of cousins."

We extend our heartfelt condolences to them all, particularly to the 2 SAKERETTES involved:

- Her Sister: JOYCE NDIMBIE (Class of 1984), and
- Her Daughter: AMANDA JOHNSON (Class of 2007/2009)

We will always look back, with nostalgia and fondness, at those nascent CRTV days when "SHASHA NDIMBIE" was a household name, and hear, with our mind's ear, the smooth, even-toned voice and stellar diction that were hers.
She did leave her own mark and the fact remains that the history of Radio and TV Broadcasting in Cameroon would be incomplete without her name.

REST IN PEACE, Sis!
