It is with an overwhelming sense of sadness that the news of the demise of ExSSA-USA's Very First and Longest-Serving Chief Whip was received yesterday, Sunday May 10 2015, which was MOTHER'S DAY!
Some of us got the news via the following post that her daughter, Class of 1988's Rosemary Ngong Kiffa put up on Facebook early in the morning:
"I love you mom. My best friend, my sister and my daughter at the same time.
You told me everything was fine and that you were ready, because you know the Lord.
I saw you take your last breath this morning 5/10/15 @ 03:28.
Rest in HIS comfort. Father Lord take good care of her in heaven.
Please have her at your right hand side where my grandmother is.
My heart is broken but your spirit will make me strong.
Love you mom."
While waiting for the Family to communicate Funeral Arrangements, we offer our Sincere Condolences to the CHOP & NGONG Families, and specifically to our SAKERETTE SISTERS, Class of 1969 MAJOR - Aunty Magdalene Chop Wango (Sister), Class of 1988's Rosemary Ngong Kiffa (Daughter), & Class of 1991's Prudence Ngong Muluh (Daughter) and The Class of 1967 COMRADES.
Hardly ever have The Apostle Paul's Words in Philippians 1:21 rung truer, than for Mrs. CHRISTIANA CHOP NGONG:
"For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better."
(New Living Translation)

A few days ago, out of the clear blue sky, I received a very moving email from Mrs. Lovelyn Nchedah Angyiembe Anagho whom I had never heard of or from before. Here is an excerpt from that email:
"Good Morning Ma SakerPride. I hope this message reaches you in good health and prosperity. Permit me introduce myself properly. My names are Angyiembe Lovelyn Nchedah Epse Anagho and I am a class of 1995 Sakerette. My mum was the late Grace Afah Ambo of the 1982 class who passed away in 2000 in Ebolowa. THE DEATH HAS BEEN REPORTED OF
CATHERINE MOJOKO QUASHIE NTONIFOR
CLASS OF 1986
SUNSET: Tuesday, August 30 2016
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on to glory today, Tuesday August 30th 2016, of ExSSA-CAMEROON's VICE SECRETARY and vibrant MEMBER OF ExSSA-BUEA, Class of 1986's Mrs. CATHERINE NTONIFOR QUASHIE, who, quite recently, was "in the news" by virtue of her being the MOM of Class of 2016's Miss Monela Mah-Ngum NTONIFOR who came second at the G.C.E Ordinary Levels, with 11 Straight "A"s!
Wow, Cathy! Spoke to you on the 19th and 20th, and it was all about Monela being blessed with a Unique Birthday Gift since the GCE results came out on the eve of her Birthday, and how she would be heading back to S.B.C. for High School "next month"! Heard you had been sick and had to be rushed to the hospital on Sunday the 28th. Lots of us PRAYED & PRAYED & PRRRRRAYED ... but now you're gone - on the 30th!!! So, what about the 3 children - and their Dad (who turned out to be my classmate); whose pictures you forwarded, nicely labeled? The plan, (after posting the GCE SUCCESS STORY), was to add you and your sweetheart to the list of "SAKERETTES who wound up marrying SBC TUTORS" on the CONNECTIONS Page, NOT add YOU to the List of "ANGELS" on the IN-MEMORIAM Page!!!!
I remember, distinctly, asking you how come you were not in the pictures of ExSSA-BUEA celebrating Monela! I also did not get why my suggestion that you and Monela just take and send a "selfie" instead of worrying yourself searching, was not an option ... WOW!!!!
GO IN PEACE, MY DEAR!!! REST!!!!
