A huge thank you to all those who made it happen, most importantly our online donors, our community patrons who stuffed our envelops well in advance of this project - Yes it was a leap of faith without which all of these would not have been possible. A round of applause to our guests, the men, women, and children who rolled their sleeves and bagged 500 Sanitary kits in 2 hours.Thumbs up to our 'Cats' (husbands and significant others of Sakerettes) who bent over backwards in their respective homes, and our donnest hosts Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Nkwenji for donating their precious space to our wear and tear. God bless you and yours, for those who couldn't make it we know you had us in mind. This is an on-going project, please, continue to donate online for there will always be pre-puberty girls who need these kits. Shipment is on the way, Presidents and leaders of cultural/micro-groups and alumni who received letters from us, we hope you will honor it as a small gesture to this project.

Still reeling from the SHOCK of the sudden passing on to eternity of their staunch member, PIONEER Bertha Effange on Friday night, ExSSA-BUEA members bravely came out en masse yesterday, Sunday October 18 2015, to support ExSSA-UK's Mrs. JANET KOKOVI BODYLAWSON KALE as she, in loving memory of her late husband, Barrister SAMUEL MEANO KALE, handed over the impressive sum of 5 million CFAF, proceeds from a Memorial Fund she and her husband's friends set up towards the renovation of PC BUEA TOWN's sanctuary. May his soul rest on in peace!

On Saturday DECEMBER 5 2015, they brought in the Christmas Season at a Night which we called “PATRONS’ NIGHT”, to salute and celebrate their patrons. The venue was the residence of ExSSA-DOUALA & ExSSA AS A WHOLE PATRON, Super CAT, Maitre Henri Job.

They had the honour to have the SDO of Wouri, Mr. Naseri Paul Bea (Himself a full-fledged CAT), in their midst.

Following the sudden death in December 2015 of Mama TANIFUM, mother-in-law of Class of 1978's Dr. Joso Oku Tanifum and Class of 1980's Dr. Patricia Orinji Tanifum (who lost her own mother in October 2015), an impressive number of SAKERETTES made the trip from all over Cameroon to Bamenda and Bafut to condole with the bereaved family. A great example of what it means to be one's sister's keeper! May her soul rest in peace.

The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, The Rt. Reverend Samuel Fonki was in South Africa’s capital, Pretoria where he inaugurated the PCC Pretoria congregation on Sunday, March 6 2016.

The very next day, On Monday March 7 2016 in the evening, he was the honored guest at the Pretoria home of CLASS OF ’69 MAJOR, Dr. Stella Nwigwe Anyangwe and CAT Professor Carlson Anyangwe, and 2 other SAKERETTES were blessed to be present as well!

Last Saturday, April 9 2016, the Enoh Family organized a thanksgiving service in honor of the 5th year anniversary of the passing of Sis MAGDALENE NKONGHO ENOH who, as most of us would remember, died so suddenly in HOUSTON, TEXAS on Tuesday, August 24 2010 right after attending the ExSSA-USA CONVENTION! ExSSA-YAOUNDE, the Chapter she had been a dedicated member of, were very present to lend their support as the PICTURES and VIDEO CLIPS below attest. May her soul rest on in peace!

* ExSSA-LIMBE came first in the SONG & DANCE Competition, due in no small part, to PIONEERS MARIA DIBO MUKETE - The "ANIMATRICE" and MONICA AKOACHERE FOCHO - The DRUMMER!!!! It should further be noted that she MARCHED, actually DANCED her way from Presbyterian Church Tiko Town to Airport Hotel, Venue of the AGM. (See Photo Album)

* Clarisse Agbor Enoetie who came first in Cameroon at the GCE "O" Levels, and Monela Mah-Ngum Ntonifor (daughter of recently departed ExSSA Vice Secretary Cathy Quashie Ntonifor), who came second, were in attendance! They were recognized (as in, HEAVILY SPRAYED & FARROTÉ-ED) for their brilliant performance. So also was Class of 1973's 60 year old 6 GCE "O" Level Champion, Sis Comfort Efosi Effange aka "SHOW BEEP"!! (See Photo Album)

(A TEARFUL MINUTE OF SILENCE was observed in honor of Late Cathy Mojoko Quashie Ntonifor, whose position in ExSSA's Executive remains vacant.

* The NEW Principal, Mr. WILFRED GHAWI SHOMSI attended the AGM, along with the Vice Principal, Chief AGBOR. (See Photo Album)

SOME HOUSE CLEANING ...

It was resolved that all chapters should register under EXSSA whose president is the President General, while other chapters have Presidents, hence the appellation PG in Cameroon, and not National President as was the case before.

Chapters that have not paid their dues, (as is the case with some currently), shall not be recognized by the Association. They were called upon to "regularize" their status, and it has been reported that one of them has already heeded the call and hastened to comply.

The President General just succeeded in registering the Association (ExSSA) this year!!!! (It wasn't registered before!!)

Its headquarters is in Limbe, and the address will always be the address of the sitting PG.

What we called the "National Uniform" is now the "Official Uniform" or the "Formal Uniform", and it can only be acquired by members who are registered under chapters that are registered under EXSSA, so all EXSSA chapters in the diaspora are expected to register in Cameroon. Furthermore, Registered Members under EXSSA are expected to sew and wear the EXSSA official uniform in its prescribed pattern.

* PARLIAMENTARIAN, Honorable GLADYS ETOMBI IKOME graced the occasion with her presence, while the unavoidably absent HONORABLE MINISTER DELEGATE AT THE PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON IN CHARGE OF SUPREME STATE AUDIT, Plucky Class of 77's JUSTICE ROSE NGWARI FOMUNDAM MBAH ACHA sent a HEFTY sum of money as a personal donation!!!

* Mrs. BESSONG, deputy mayor of Tiko was the Government Official in attendance, while Class of 1985's Clara Ebai Selaboy gave the keynote address. (See Photo Album)

PHILANTHROPY which they did on Saturday, December 14th 2019 with a "SINGING & SHARING OUTREACH PROGRAM to the OLD PEOPLE'S HOME in SIMBOCK which is run by The Missionary Sisters of Charity, with St. Mother Theresa as their founder;

AND

POMP, aka SHOW-SHOW which was on FULL BLAST come Sunday, December 15th 2019 at the FORBIN residence in MINKAN!!

The COLOR CODE was RED and WHITE, but then, for THE DECEMBER BIRTHDAY GIRLS it became a GOLD LACE & RED GELE "thang"!!!!

To add to the whole AMBIANCE,

* PATRONS and CATS were in attendance and were offered GIFTS!; *There was THEATER - as in DRAMA/ACTING presented by the Birthday Girls - IN COSTUMES;

*There were SONGS presented by a SPECIAL CHOIR;

*The HOSTING GROUP gave out GIFTS to everyone; and

*Each FAMILY got a SEASON'S GREETINGS CARD from Madam PRESIDENT of ExSSA-YAOUNDE, Mrs. JESSIE ATOGHO EKUKOLE.

AT THE CLOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION'S AGM IN DOUALA WHICH TOOK PLACE FROM

JANUARY 31st to FEBRUARY 2nd 2020

ExSSA-BUEA'S OCTOBER 2020 MEETING ...

One of the reasons the now deceased MISS MARY NDIVE (later Mrs. MARY MANGA WILLIAMS) was my favorite Primary School Teacher is because of the SONGS she taught my fellow CLASS 4 pupils and I and the song she taught that I like the most is the "YOU CAN SMILE" song !

"YOU CAN SMILE, WHEN YOU CAN'T SAY A WORD,

YOU CAN SMILE, WHEN YOU CANNOT BE HEARD,

YOU CAN SMILE, WHEN IT'S CLOUDY OR FAIR,

YOU CAN SMILE ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!!!"

Needless to say, those lyrics, like the lyrics of countless other songs one sang as a child, didn't quite "sink" or "resonate" at the time but, BOY, have they become so much more MEANINGFUL, as time has gone by.

After the SORDID, MACABRE, GRUESOME and so SENSELESS events that occurred in KUMBA almost a week ago now, (which, I am certain, SHOCKED and EMBARRASSED Lucifer himself), it really did take seeing the PICTURES from ExSSA-BUEA'S OCTOBER MEETING to get me to crack a SMILE and then just LAUGH OUT LOUD once I viewed the VIDEO SNIPPETS of the group's version of the JERUSALEMA "challenge"!!!! OMG!!!

In short, as far as I'm concerned, 24-year-old KGAOGELO MOAGI aka "MASTER KG", deserves some sort of AWARD for getting us all, across the globe, dancing, (with or without a "PAN CHOP" in hand), through the unprecedented and unrelenting NDON that 2020 has brought upon the world!

To help you better understand what's "going down" in the pictures that make up the PHOTO ALBUM posted below, here's what Ms. Esther Ashu of ExSSA-BUEA had to say about that October 2020 Meeting:

"For each meeting we have a dress code. This time it was our pink and purple t shirts on white. We shared gifts and a special gift was offered by our president Emma Lebaga to 2 sisters Enjema Vevanja who was recently elected deputy Mayor for Buea and sister Commy Effange who will be graduating from University of Buea in December with a second class, upper division degree after retiring from public service as a grade one teacher. The meeting was a lot fun!"

Don't see how anyone could possibly disagree!
